Our point of view
The best conversations leave a little salt on the table.
Conversations cover anything to do with racing sailboats. We are particularly interested in the offshore as well as high-performance racing, race management, coaching, safety, and technical preparation. Most of all, its the human stories around the sport that we like to focus on.
The show is for sailors, yacht owners, race organizers, coaches, developing competitive sailors, and anyone interested in authentic sailing stories.
What's in a Name
Stories Dipped in Salt
The name 'Jackspeak' is a term of Jackspeak or the sailor's language. It is the name sailors of the Royal Canadian Navy give to old sea stories. On the bridge, in the engine room or on deck the sailors will often be found recounting stories, spinning dips, of adventures past that grow more and more fantastical with every telling. The saltier the sailor the saltier the story.
